just thought I’d take a few minutes to post something new on our site that we don’t use that often… yet! We had another dr. appt. yesterday and everything seems to be going well inside. The baby is growing and so am I! The Dr. asked if I felt the baby kicking and I said not yet, he said well that might be because my placenta is in front of the baby and for now acts as a punching bag for the baby. He said that was nothing to worry about and would stay that way till the baby is born. Let’s see whatelse… Dana left for Humboldt State yesterday! Her leaving is truly an end of an era at Indian Hills Camp and also in Jamul. She plans to come home for Thanksgiving which will be here before we know it and she will here for the arrival of our baby (hopefully!)
Daniel shut down Tarpit Creative 6 weeks ago and is still on the job hunt here in San Diego. Please pray that he will get a job soon…
Our landlords’s daughter is cancer-free! PRAISE THE LORD! She starts high school tomorrow and we have a few more tests to receive a clean bill of health. What a summer its been for all of them! God carried them through this incredible time!

Well folks looks like we have a small Tyack to carry on the line

last weekend I took a 4-day excursion to the Eastern Sierras with Dana & Krista! I’ve never been there… oh my goodness I didn’t know what incredible beauty awaited me when I’ve arrived up there! Absolutely gorgeous! I hope my pictures do some justice to God’s creation! Dana has some friends up there and they let us stay in a cute little cabin right next to a running creek! so cool! we went to yosemite’s northern entrance (AWESOME!), Mono lake, and Mammoth Mtn. we enjoyed talking, spending time together, relaxing, light hiking, driving and of course Dana’s amazing campfire capabilties! it was a great weekend, here are some pics… enjoy!
I love camping!

daniel took off this morning for Kauai. He is going for his niece’s wedding this Sunday. He wasn’t very thrilled to go but for his mom’s sake he needs to be there. He will be returning on Monday night, quick trip really. I keep telling him he will be back before he knows it. Hopefully he will be sending some gorgeous pictures from there soon! So far this is all he has posted! (this pic is flying over Oahu - he almost missed his connecting flight!)

so this week, we had a small intruder in our house! I was home during the day, and taking some of my plants out on the back porch and didn’t shut the screen door all the way. On my way out the door, I spooked a small lizard sunbathing on the concrete, it scurried off under the steps, up the wall…. and in our house! I walked in the house to get another plant and saw something running across the carpet in the living room… the lizard! Oh great! So after creating a path of shoes, leaving the front door open, a can of compressed air & calling Daniel a few times, the lizard finally ran out the front door back into his world and out of mine! That was enough excitement for the day, who knows maybe I’ll see the little guy again…. outside!

well we went to the Dr. today for our first prenatal appt. it was great (well as good as it could go!) we saw the baby on the ultrasound (hence the picture). The doctor was very friendly and apparently doesn’t see too many first prenatal appts anymore and was surprised to see us. We will go back in about 6 weeks for another check-up, in the meantime, I have to get a TB test & blood drawn at my convenience!
oh joy! we have just instantly joined the club of people who “carry around a vague B/W picture ultrasound picture that is hardly recognizable”! well some day we knew we would and to be honest we are more than blessed by this new journey and gift of life within me. gosh God is so amazing!

Recently I discovered a very cool little website called www.geni.com basically it let’s you easily layout your family tree. I never run into many Tyacks so it has always intrigued me as to where we came from and how we are connected. Hopefully I will be able to train my mother and get her to fill in all the details I only made it laterally on the tree, vertical however was another story!
The site is in “Beta” (non complete testing mode) and I haven’t figured out a way to display Jessica’s side of the family. Hopefully either I’ll figure it out or they will add that functionality soon.
You can check out the public view of what we have so far on the Family Tree page of this site. If you are in the family and you haven’t gotten an invite to join our tree please email me so I can send you one. daniel(at)danieltyack.com
If you haven’t yet started a family tree on www.geni.com you should. It’s free, easy, and really cool I guarantee you’ll love it!

hi there! finally I’m sitting down to write my first post. my husband will be so proud of me, since he has been asking me to write something since this site was created. So here I am and so far I’m feeling good, a little more tired & hungry throughout the day but other than that I feel my same old self… so far! Just as Daniel shared - its all still so surreal to us! Miracles happen every day, I’m a miracle, you are a miracle and God is doing what He done in millions of women over the ages inside of me! WOW! I can’t believe it! So very humbling to be used by God in this very human way, I don’t really know how to share my heart or explain my words.
I would ask that you pray for me and this little baby in me… and so to be daddy as well! thank you!
